To support anyone who has been bereaved, to help them understand their grief and cope with their loss. Local area branches and support groups.
Jeremiah’s Journey is a Plymouth-based charity that offers support and information to children and their families when someone special has died. Their main service is a short term therapeutic group programme which runs three times a year during school term times. They also use creative activities to encourage expression of the feelings of grief, the sharing and acknowledgement of good and bad memories and the exploration of ways of coping.

Creative cakes for funeral & memorial gatherings
There is no limit to the creative talent in the funeral sector.
At the three day event called The Ideal Death Show in Bournville (5-7 September) one of the exhibitors was Tavistock-based Commemoration Cakes.
Their eye-catching personalised cake designs were on display at the event which celebrates and shares best and innovative practice in funeral services.
Company MD Terry Boyle, who is pictured, said: “People are looking for those personal touches when they plan arrangements for a funeral. Pretty much anything goes when designing a cake because we are all individuals and the cake design can reflect the character and interest or faith of the person who has died.
“It can also help to signal when the reception is coming to a close if you can say thank you to everyone for attending and then cut the cake and hand slices out for people to take away with them.”
Anyone who places an order with Commemoration Cakes because they read this should quote the code 688058 and Wendy Coulton of Dragonfly Funerals will donate the commission to Jeremiah's Journey which supports bereaved children and their families in the Plymouth area.
Online orders for cakes can be placed and more information can be found at www.commemorationcakes.co.uk
