Funeral services
A key feature of a Civil Funeral service which I am trained and qualified to plan and present is that my beliefs, values or faith don’t come into the equation. I am here to serve my clients and create a personalised service which captures the essence of the person who died through music, poetry, readings and tributes. Services can have some or no religious content.
A Civil Funeral can be for burial or cremation. It can be held in most appropriate locations. I can conduct funeral services in churches or religious buildings only if consent in advance has been given by the clergy/church in question. In respect of actual burial for a civil funeral this would be in non-religious ground such as a natural burial ground or local authority cemetery.
I work closely with the Funeral Director and maintain a high personal involvement with clients through the planning and delivery of their service.
My approach is to offer clients choice so that they can say farewell to someone who was important to them in their own way.
Scattering of ashes
Personalised short services for the Scattering of Ashes can be planned and presented without charge to clients for whom I have planned and conducted the funeral. I can also advise clients on locations and practical considerations to take into account.
Memorial events
Personalised Memorial events, perhaps to follow a private funeral service where more people can attend or to mark a significant anniversary or date, can be organised by clients with my support and I would be able to lead or manage proceedings on their behalf.
Participation of relatives and friends can be as much, or as little as clients wish and the content can have some or no religious content.
